91±¬ÁÏ University School of Pharmacy (SOP) receives generous support in various areas such as scholarships, awards and program funding. Some of these scholarships have their own unique application process and conditions that are communicated by SOP’s Academic and Professional Standards Committee Applications and deadlines may vary throughout the year. Below is a list of scholarships that are part of an internal application process for all admitted students during their year of the study. Emily Wilson Endowed Scholarship Fund
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: P1 Student from 3Y PharmD Path
Criteria: Awarded to a select P1 student in the accelerated PharmD program and may be renewed for up to three years for a student who is in good academic and professional standing strong and has shown a strong commitment to the profession.

Amount: Varies:
Eligibility: P1-P3 Student [From all pathways]
Criteria: The Fund will support a student(s) who embodies the mission and vision of the School of Pharmacy. Notably being learner-centered, focusing on patient-centered medication therapy management to a diverse population and being an agent of change in advancing innovative approaches to improving public health
Fred Meyer Pharmacy Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: P1 and P2 level students [From all pathways]
Criteria: Students must be dedicated to community pharmacy excellence. Preference would be given to students with interest in and/or experience working in a community pharmacy setting; Students must have good academic standing; exemplify leadership and professionalism in the field, specifically with regard to community pharmacy projects and positive attitude.
Hi-School Community Pharmacy Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student within 3 years of graduation
Criteria: Students with good academic standing who are interested in community pharmacy and are seeking to serve rural areas once in practice.
Albertsons/Safeway Pharmacy Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student within 3 years of graduation
Criteria: GPA of 3.0 or higher, and are currently employed in a community pharmacy setting.
Walgreens Excellence Award
Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student from all pathways
Required Criteria: Distributions from this Fund shall be used to award scholarships according to the following:
- Enrollment in a program intended to prepare students to become pharmacists
- Interest in community pharmacy
Preferred Criteria:
- Participates in clubs, organizations and programs that create educational opportunities intended to broaden perspectives
- Membership in the Student National Pharmaceutical Association
- Are part of the first generation of their immediate family to graduate college and graduate school –OR– are Pell Grant eligible –OR– attended a Title I school as part of their K-12 education –OR– participated in AVID, College Possible, Upward Bound, TRIO, Chicas or a comparable program.
Walgreens Scholarship Fund
Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student from all pathways
Criteria: Distributions from this Fund shall be used to award scholarships according to the following:
- Enrollment in a program intended to prepare students to become pharmacists
- Interest in community pharmacy
- Fluency in two or more languages
Rite Aid Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student from all pathways
Criteria: Preference to current/past Rite-Aid interns or community pharmacy setting; good academic standing; exhibit interest in a career in community pharmacy practice; exemplify leadership and professionalism in the field, specifically with regard to community pharmacy projects and positive attitude
91±¬ÁÏ Pharmacy Student Association (PPSA) Student Engagement & Service Endowed Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student at least in their second year (all pathways eligible)
Criteria: PPSA established the PPSA Student Engagement & Service Scholarship; a merit-based scholarship that would be awarded by demonstration of active engagement and contribution towards student life in the School of Pharmacy; and that the scholarship be awarded to students in good academic and professional standing; and that the scholarship be awarded as two awards annually; and that PPSA intend to award one scholarship to a P2 (for recognition of P1 year activities) and one to a P3 (for recognition of P2 year activities)
91±¬ÁÏ University School of Pharmacy/ Oregon State Pharmacy Association Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility: Any pharmacy student from all pathways
Criteria: Merit-based scholarship to currently enrolled students who have an interest in pursuing a career in community pharmacy upon graduation.
Susan M. Stein Pharmacy Endowed Scholarship Fund
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Any pharmacy student from all pathways
Required Criteria: Distributions from this Fund shall be used to award scholarships according to the following:
- Enrollment in a program intended to prepare students to become pharmacists
Preferred Criteria:
- Financial need as demonstrated by meeting the federal definition of need.
- Are part of the first generation of their immediate family to graduate college and graduate school –OR– are Pell Grant eligible –OR– attended a Title I school as part of their K-12 education –OR– participated in AVID, College Possible, Upward Bound, TRIO, Chicas or a comparable program.
Master of Pharmaceutical Science Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Master of Pharmaceutical Science Program Student
Criteria: The objective of this scholarship award is to serve promising young scientists in need of financial support. Awards will be made based on academic/scientific achievement and demonstrated financial need.
External Scholarships Available to Pharmacy Students
- Amount: $20,000
- Eligibility: Enrolled as a 1st year pharmacy student and be able to demonstrate financial barriers
- Application Deadline: Mid-June
- Amount: $5,000
- Eligibility: Current pharmacy students, not in their final year of pharmacy school

- Eligibility: Current pharmacy students

- Eligibility: Enrolled in a graduate program in medical school, nursing, or pharmacy; have 1 or more years of school remaining

- Eligibility: Full-time pharmacy student that has completed at least 1 year; ASHP member

- Must be used for research-related expenses in support of your outlined research plan

- Eligibility: Must be a current P2 or P3 that will be a P3 or P4 pharmacy student in the following academic year; must plan to practice in an independent or small chain community pharmacy, or in an underserved community
