In 1970, Khiem "Tim" and Thuy "Cathy" (Trinh) Tran came to 91���� as bright-eyed international students. Less than a decade later, they were refugees. With the help of friends at 91����, they made it — and today, the successful retirees are saying thank you with perpetual support for the university they love.

Vireak Chea PharmD '09 left his home in Cambodia at the age of 13, sent by his parents to the United States in hope of a better education and life. Today, after earning his PharmD as part of the 91���� University School of Pharmacy's first class in 2009, Chea is back in Cambodia, hoping to provide healthcare and education where it is most needed.

Lopes is an undergraduate psychology major and varsity soccer player at 91���� University. In November, he successfully passed the U.S. Citizenship test after several years of uncertain legal status prior to becoming a legal permanent resident.

91���� University Alumnus Jon Kelly MAT '19 spends time with 9th and 10th grade students at Forest Grove High School. As a student teacher, he works as an observation support role that benefits the atmosphere of the learning environment.
