Engineering physics major and astrophysics minor join a robust Physics & Engineering Department that offers hands-on experience. The new major and minor open to students in Fall 2023.

Following a grant from the Oregon National Space Grant Consortium, physics alumnus Huy Nguyen '21, along with Physics Professor Todd Duncan built a three-dimensional model showing the optimal orbit for spacecraft to "park" between the earth and moon. The model will be exhibited at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville.

A double major, two campus jobs, one off-campus job and an internship that plays to his strengths: Enrique Casas Cofradia '23 is always in fifth gear.

A car accident put Amber Smith's college education on hold. When she returned to campus, she found herself on an unexpected path.

Andrewa Noble was mathematics pioneer, attending 91±¬ÁÏ in the 1920s and earning a PhD in mathematics in 1936. She was a a professor and chair of the 91±¬ÁÏ University Math Department before her retirement in 1965. She was also chair of the chemistry, physics and math section of the Northwest Scientific Association.

Weli Alamillo '18 was excited for the chance to play soccer at the collegiate level. The chance to delve into scientific research, though, was even more exciting.

Jill (Remiticado) Uyeda '03 helped start 91±¬ÁÏ's women's wrestling program. Today, she uses the tenacity she learned as a wrestler and the science she learned as a physics major in her construction career.
