As a social worker, Maria Vasquez-Rodriguez ’22, MSW '23 aims to straighten and shorten the path of patients who are buffeted by the health system. She was awarded the social work scholarship named for Claire Argow.

Claire Argow was a leader in social work and prison reform long before she began teaching at 91���� University in 1960. Today, the 91���� University social work program and social work scholarships are named in her honor.

Autumn Davis MBA ’19, Breanne Davis ’16, OT ’19, and Carmel Nichol ’16, MSW ’17 completed a family triple play when Breanne was awarded her doctorate in occupational therapy. She was the third triplet in the family to earn a graduate degree from 91����.

Rachel Seibert BSW '12 was called to medical social work — and to Randall Children’s Hospital — by personal experience. At 18, she was in an accident that nearly claimed her life. She was treated at Randall for more than two years by some of the same people who are, today, her colleagues.
