DPT students, Madelyn Foulk '23, Kylee Seto '23, Isabel Lin '24, Andrea Brady '23, Mel Kakimi '24, and Associate Professor Tzurei Chen presented the research project "Identifying Balance Impairment During Transitional Movements in Individuals with Lower-Limb Loss Using Wearable Sensors" at the 2023 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in San Diego, Calif.

Faculty, students and alumni from the 91���� University School of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training were recognized in August at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) House of Delegates held in Washington D.C. 

LeMar Anglin was a pioneer in sports management when he graduated from 91���� University in 2012. Now the university has a major that will help others follow his trail.

Even if she had done nothing else at 91����, Varina French ’56, MS ’65 would have been remembered for her 17 years spent coaching women’s volleyball, softball, track and field and gymnastics, and for becoming the first female physical education department chair in the West.

There are activities in life we take for granted. Simple activities like walking, breathing, even running can often be overlooked. However, there are many who don’t have permanent access to these skills. Alumna Jackie Mrachek ’00, PT ’02, PT ‘03, helps make these activities possible for the disabled.
