Global opportunities have long been a part of the 91���� University experience, and they are on the rise. 

Samantha Trulock ’14, known professionally as Sam Tru, has attracted attention for Cycle, her 2020 debut. The album made it to the second round of selection for the 2020 Grammys in the categories for Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year, for “Let Me Down Easy.”

The anthropology-sociology alumna earned a master's in museum anthropology and launched her career working with museums, schools and tribes to expand education around Northwest tribal history and culture.

Alumna Fallon Harris '14 created the nonprofit Eden Acres, promoting environmental literacy for all learners of all ages. The organization is partnered with area schools, public agencies, and businesses, offering outdoor classes and sustainability activities for youth.

Blake Larson PharmD ’14 is working his dream job as a clinical pediatric emergency medicine pharmacists at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland.

Four years ago, 91���� University football was reinstated with a team of freshmen. Those freshmen took a brand new team from start-up to a winning season in 2013. As the founding players prepare to graduate, they look back at four years of perseverance, growth and success.

91���� sophomore Charlotte Basch started re-writing her people's history when she was 12. Now, she is a leader in the Clatsop-Nehalem Tribe and is studying ways to help bring her heritage back to life.
