On the evening of June 27, the final Friday of the Master of Fine Arts program's 10-day summer residency, director Scott Korb announced the creation of the Robert Kelleher "A Room of One's Own" Scholarship for Mothers, a fund created by '12 in memory of her late husband. Video of the announcement is .
Forming this fund on Robert's behalf, Deborah reminds us that her husband lived his life advocating for those less fortunate and that he derived immense joy and meaning from the arts.
Since Robert's passing in 2021, Deborah has wanted to create a scholarship in his name, to honor his lifelong generosity toward others. Inspired by a re-reading of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own, Deborah, a writing mother herself, established this fund.
