Areas I Teach
Carole Timpone, OD, Distinguished University Professor Emerita, served as the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs at 91±¬ÁÏ University from 2013-2019. Her areas of interest and expertise include ocular disease, glaucoma, and interprofessional practice. As Director of the 91±¬ÁÏ University Eye Clinic in Portland and instructor for fourth-year students on clinical rotations, she received 91±¬ÁÏ University’s Presidents Award for Excellence in Professional Education. She has served on several professional Boards, including the Director of Education for the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and the Site Coordinator for the NBEO. Dr. Timpone is the founding Director of the 91±¬ÁÏ Interprofessional Diabetes Clinic. Named A Distinguished University Professor at 91±¬ÁÏ University in 2009, she has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and the National Academies of Practice.
