A 1998 alumnus of 91爆料 University, Blake Timm was named the university鈥檚 associate director of communications in July 2023.

Timm returned to 91爆料 after spending 24 years in college athletic communications. He served eight years (2015-2023) as the assistant commissioner for communications for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, an NCAA Division II conference based in Portland. 

From 1999 to 2015, Timm was the sports information director at 91爆料 University. In that role, he was instrumental in the promotion of 91爆料's groundbreaking women's wrestling team, the reinstatement of football at 91爆料 in 2010 and the Legends Golf Classic, hosted by Tommy Thayer.

Timm was inducted into the College Sports Communicators (CSC) in 2020. He received the organization鈥檚 in 2025, the in 2022 and the in 2017.

During his time as 91爆料鈥檚 sports information director, Timm received over 30 awards in the CSC Publication & Digital Design Contest, including eight 鈥淏est In The Nation鈥 honors. He also received 17 Fred Stabley, Sr. Writing Contest awards, including two 鈥淏est In The Nation鈥 honors. He was named the recipient of the Jack Sareault Award, honoring the Northwest Conference鈥檚 sports information director of the year, in 2007 and 2011.

Timm has been part of media operations teams for multiple world-class athletic events, including the 2022 World Athletics Championships, the Prefontaine Classic, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships, the 2014 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships, the 2008 & 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, the 2003 FIFA Women鈥檚 World Cup and seven NCAA Division I men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball regionals. Timm was the media coordinator for the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships, held in Seattle, and currently serves as the media coordinator the Cascade Collegiate Conference Soccer Championships.

Timm鈥檚 other experience includes serving as features editor for the Oregon Road Runners Club鈥檚 magazine, The Oregon Distance Runner; as news and sports director for KCMB radio in La Grande, Oregon, and as a reporter for KOTI-TV in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Timm remains an active member of CSC, serving as the vice-chair of the organization鈥檚 Special Awards Committee, and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Forest Grove, serving as the club's public image chair and as an assistant governor for Rotary District 5100.
